Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 June 2026
Teacher Passport ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, state, and the role and profile details you choose to provide.
- Usage information — pages you visit and actions you take, used to improve the service (see Analytics below).
- Diagnostic and assessment data — if you complete the LANTITE diagnostic, we store your answers and the resulting domain scores against your account or the email you provide.
The LANTITE diagnostic
The LANTITE diagnostic is an optional self-assessment created by Teacher Passport. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACER, and the results are indicative only — they do not predict your performance on the actual LANTITE.
When you complete the diagnostic and enter your email, we create (or update) a Teacher Passport account and store your per-domain results so we can:
- show you your results and a recommended study sequence;
- personalise the LANTITE preparation emails we send you; and
- understand, in aggregate and anonymised form, the most common areas teachers find difficult.
We do not sell your diagnostic results, share them with universities or employers, or display them on any profile visible to schools. You can ask us to delete your diagnostic results at any time (see Your choices).
We use your email to send service messages, the diagnostic results series, and (if relevant) onboarding and job-alert emails. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. If an address hard-bounces, we stop emailing it.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics (including Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored on secured infrastructure and retained only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
Your choices
- Access and correction — you can view and update your profile information at any time in your account settings.
- Unsubscribe — use the link in any email, or your email settings, to stop marketing emails.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account, including your diagnostic results, by contacting us.
