About the role
Role Requirements
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges
- Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans and implementing effective teaching strategies
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources to support student learning
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support
- Contribute to the overall positive and inclusive culture of the school
What we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- A passion for supporting the growth and development of all students
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
The successful candidate would be required to have appropriate Criminal Records Checks and Working with Children Check.
