About the Role
As a Youth Worker, this is your opportunity to make a difference. To build a better, positive future for young people in a custodial environment. To help get their lives back on track, so they can participate fully on their return to the community.
As a Youth Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality care, supervision, and support to young people in a secure, therapeutic environment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement case management plans and programs.
- Promote safety, wellbeing, and respectful relationships through trauma-informed and restorative practices.
- Respond to challenging behaviours using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques.
- Be a positive role model and mentor, helping young people reintegrate into the community.
Conditions of Employment:
- Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 pro rata per annum (paid as hourly rate) + 12% Superannuation + 6.5% Correctional Allowance + Shift Work allowances
