About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Coordinator to join our team at St Matthews CS, Mudgee. This position combines classroom teaching with responsibility for leading and coordinating the Science Key Learning Area. You will deliver quality teaching and create a nurturing, ordered learning environment while supporting staff and overseeing curriculum, assessment and faculty resources.
We are seeking a teacher and leader who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
- Developing and delivering engaging, inclusive classroom programs that meet curriculum requirements and support the learning needs of all students.
- Leading the development, implementation and review of teaching programs, assessment schedules and marking criteria, including NESA requirements for senior courses and retention of student work samples.
- Using classroom assessment and external results, including NAPLAN, RoSA and HSC results where relevant, to guide teaching and improve student outcomes.
- Supporting and supervising faculty staff through collaborative planning, professional learning and the Professional Planning and Development goal-setting and review process, in consultation with the Assistant Principal.
