New to Catholic schools? Our guide to teaching in Catholic schools covers RE accreditation, the diocesan system, pay, and how applications differ from government roles.
Role description
Come and be part of something special.
At Holy Spirit Parish School, we believe education is about far more than what happens in a classroom. It is about relationships, belonging, faith, hope, curiosity and creating the conditions in which every child can flourish.
Our Catholic Way of Being is at the heart of who we are
We are a welcoming, growing and deeply relational school community in Manifold Heights, Geelong, and we are excited about the next chapter of our school as we continue to expand and strengthen our learning, wellbeing and Catholic identity.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate classroom teacher to join our team in 2027 in a role that also provides an opportunity for leadership in student wellbeing and/or Religious Education.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is ready to make a difference beyond their own classroom and help shape the culture and direction of our whole school.
Your opportunity to shine
As part of the application process, applicants will be asked to respond to the following key question:
If you were appointed to a Mental Health in Primary Schools leadership role at Holy Spirit Parish School, how would you support the development of a whole-school approach to student mental health and wellbeing, while authentically embedding our Catholic Way of Being into this work from 2027?
We are interested not only in what you would do, but how you would lead it.
How would you bring people with you?
How would you build staff understanding and confidence?
How would you know whether your approach was making a difference?
And…
