CALLING 1st and 2nd Year CQUniversity PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS
Take the opportunity to enhance your teaching qualification and graduate ready to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
The Catholic Education Specialisation offered in partnership with Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton (CEDR) and CQUniversity is available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Bachelor of Education (Primary) who wish to gain Accreditation to Teach Religion as part of their degree.
Open to all students, the specialisation provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of the distinctive aspects of Catholic Education, Religious Education, Sacred Texts in the Catholic Tradition and the Religious Life of a Catholic school. You do not need to be, or become Catholic to undertake this specialisation.
The Catholic Education Specialisation is completed within the existing degree structure and contributes towards the 32 units required for the Bachelor of Education, rather than being additional study.

This enables you to graduate with additional knowledge, experience, and accreditation that will support your transition into a teaching career within Catholic education.
