Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Hampton Park Primary School (PS) is located amongst pleasant tree filled grounds with ovals, play areas and equipment for all age levels. There is an Early Childhood building that was built in 2010 giving rooms for the Kindergarten and two Pre-Primary classes. In addition, we have a large outdoor playground which contains climbing equipment, a nature playground and bike tracks. Our school has a strong focus on explicit teaching, in particular the numeracy and literacy areas. Staff monitor student progress to ensure all children are achieving at their personal best.
In 2023, a Specialised Learning Program (SLP) commenced at the school to assist children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a withdrawal model; parents apply to enrol their child in the program. Please see further information here.
