Role description

The Team

Port Sorell Primary School is supported by a dedicated and collaborative team of educators and support staff who are committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive learning environment. Working closely with students, families, and the wider community, our team promotes academic success, wellbeing, and personal growth. Through strong relationships, a focus on student resilience, and a welcoming school culture, we support every child to reach their full potential.

About the Role

The Education Facility Attendant (EFA) plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors. The position is responsible for a diverse range of duties across cleaning, grounds maintenance, kitchen support, and minor facility maintenance to ensure school facilities are presented to a high standard.

Working independently and as part of a team, the Education Facility Attendant (EFA) supports the day-to-day operations of the school by maintaining buildings and grounds, assisting with kitchen activities, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring workplace health, safety, and security requirements are met. The role requires reliability, initiative, effective communication skills, and a strong commitment to the wellbeing and safety of children and young people, while reflecting the Department's values in all aspects of work.
