Role description
Ascham is one of the world’s leading girls’ schools, and since its foundation in 1886 has educated girls who develop into confident, independent, compassionate young women. Ascham is an inclusive, day and boarding school for students in years P-12, within a warm, welcoming and collaborative environment.
We value staff who demonstrate a positive, proactive approach to their work and have a willingness to participate in the life of the school. We look for energetic, dedicated and capable staff who are full of ideas; embrace a fast-paced environment; and demonstrate initiative, empathy and professionalism to help the school achieve its strategic objectives.
About This Role
As part of Ascham’s commitment to professional learning and teacher growth, we are seeking a collaborative and experienced classroom teacher to lead professional learning initiatives across the Senior School. In this newly created role, you will strengthen teacher capability through mentoring, coaching and accreditation support, while fostering a culture of collaboration, reflective practice and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in supporting the development and retention of early career teachers and designing high-quality professional learning opportunities that enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
This allowance-based position reports to the Director of Professional Learning and includes a 0.4 teaching load in the successful candidate's subject area. If you are passionate about developing colleagues and enhancing teaching practice, we would love to hear from you.
