Role description
Peterborough High School Is a finalist in the 2026 Public Education Awards for Empowering change : Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award. PHS uses a collaborative block learning and co-teaching model . Co-designed with students and staff , the approach allows students to focus deeply on two subjects at a time while accessing real-time learning and wellbeing support. We are a trauma informed school using the Berry Street learning Model. Daily Sunshine Gatherings, community mentors and dedicated collaborative planning enable staff, including SSOs, to continually adapt teaching around student needs. The model has measurable improvements in student engagement, wellbeing , satisfaction and behaviour, creating a more connected learning environment while establishing new ways of working for staff across the school.
This role will involve teaching across our middle school in a multi age learning group and SACE with possibilities in Workplace Practices, AIF and EIF.
