School VET Cluster Coordinator - Central Highlands

Selection Criteria

DE Values 

• Demonstrated ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and support colleagues to adopt these behaviours and attitudes. Demonstrated ability to reflect upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of the program. 

Knowledge and proficiency

• Demonstrated expertise in secondary school VET, including a strong understanding of DE, VCAA, VRQA, and ASQA policies and requirements. 
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating the delivery of VET across schools and training providers.   

Relationships and stakeholder engagement 

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, using expertise in vocational education and training to manage a range of complex and often competing needs. 

Communication 

• Demonstrated effective communication skills including oral and written skills when engaging with various stakeholders, including the ability to convey specialist concepts and policies to these stakeholders. Prepares reports and correspondence on issues that impact at a program level.

Project Delivery

• Demonstrated ability to translate policies and locally defined strategies into programs or projects that actively enable the achievement of cluster outcomes. 
• Identifies and develops objectives linking strategies to actions to achieve these.

Flexibility and Adaptability

• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to change and is comfortable working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
