Old Orchard Primary School is a high performing school situated in Blackburn North in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our anticipated enrolment in 2027 is approximately 400 students. We have become a school of choice for many families, who recognise and value our:

We deliver an innovative, engaging and rigorous teaching and learning program which reflects the Victorian Curriculum and the VTLM 2.0, with the acquisition of high-level literacy and numeracy skills a major priority.  Throughout 2026, we engaged in a range of professional learning opportunities, including work with Bronwyn Ryrie Jones and Narrisa Leung, with a particular focus on explicit teaching, effective modelling and evidence-informed practices. We deliver curriculum utilising Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), ensuring that teaching and learning is responsive to the needs of our diverse learners. Through the implementation of VTLM 2.0 and MTSS, we continue to strengthen a culture of high expectations, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Engaging and diverse specialist programs are offered in STEM, Music / Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Mandarin.
