Campus Student Support Assistant

We are seeking a Campus Student Support Assistant to join our Wagga Wagga campus in Term 1 2027 on a part time (0.2 / 1 day pw), permanent basis.

As a Campus Student Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a student with complex learning, communication barriers and behavioural needs, including Autism.
• Work closely with the Learning Support Teacher and campus team to implement structured strategies that support the students academic, social and emotional development.
• Assist the student to engage in classroom activities and school routines, supporting participation in learning, transitions and daily tasks.
• Implement individualised learning and behaviour support strategies designed for students with complex needs, including visual supports, structured routines and communication tools.
• Provide personal care support where required, ensuring the students dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Support the use of communication systems, including AAC, visual schedules and other strategies to assist expressive and receptive language.
• Reinforce self-regulation strategies, including programs such as Zones of Regulation and other evidence-based supports.
• Maintain clear communication with the Learning Support Teacher and campus staff, ensuring consistency in the students support plan.
• Contribute to a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment for the student.
