Role description

Working at Booleroo Centre District School as a Full-Time Primary Teacher in 2027 provides an opportunity to contribute to the learning, development and wellbeing of students across the primary years within a collaborative R-12 rural school community. The role will focus on delivering high-quality teaching and learning, developing strong relationships with students and families, and supporting the school's priorities in literacy, numeracy, wellbeing and student agency. The recommended applicant must be willing to teach at any year level within Primary. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Primary Coordinator, leadership team and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan, implement and evaluate evidence-informed teaching practices that respond to individual student needs. A strong emphasis will be placed on using student assessment data to identify learning needs, monitor progress and inform targeted teaching and intervention strategies. The role will also contribute to consistent whole-school approaches to curriculum delivery, assessment, student engagement and wellbeing, while supporting a smooth transition for students across year levels. This position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive and connected school community, contribute to ongoing school improvement, strengthen partnerships with families and colleagues, and make a meaningful difference to the educational outcomes of primary students at Booleroo Centre District School. Being familiar with LGU phonics and The Writing Revolution is desirable.
