Role description
Working at Booleroo Centre District School as a Full-Time Secondary Teacher in 2027 provides an opportunity to contribute to the learning, engagement and success of students across the middle and secondary years within a supportive R-12 rural school community. The position will have a focus on teaching English in the middle years, alongside History and Geography, with the potential to contribute to Pathways learning and support students in exploring future education, training and career opportunities. The successful applicant will deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that develop students' literacy, critical thinking, communication and inquiry skills, while catering for diverse learning needs and abilities. Working collaboratively with the leadership team and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), the teacher will contribute to the school's priorities in literacy, numeracy, wellbeing and student agency, using assessment data and evidence-informed practices to monitor progress and improve student outcomes. The role also provides an opportunity to build positive relationships with students and families, strengthen student engagement and support young people to develop the skills, confidence and aspirations needed for success beyond school. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and connected rural school community where teachers are valued, professional growth is encouraged, and every student matters.
