About the Role
Situated within the Faith Formation and Religious Education team, the Education Officer: Formation & Religious Education (Secondary) supports the implementation of the Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst Faith Formation Framework and the design and delivery of quality learning and quality teaching practices.

As the Education Officer, you will:

• Actively promote the Vision and Mission of Catholic education in the Diocese
• Facilitate collaboration in relation to the complementary roles of Pastors, parent, teachers and the diocesan Ministry Team in the ministry of Catholic education
• Develop and lead the implementation of Stage 4 and Stage 5 Religious Education Curriculum
• Develop and lead the implementation of Stage 6 Studies in Catholic Thought and Studies of Religion.
• Collaborate with the Head of Faith Formation and Religious Education on opportunities for faith formation development
• Coordinate and facilitate forum for spiritual formation (e.g. workshops, retreats and other programs)
• Support the Youth Ministry and formation
• Be expected to undertake regular travel with overnight stays

About you
We are looking for someone who meets the following selection criteria:

• Commitment and capacity to support the values and ethos of the Catholic tradition in the workplace
• A background in Secondary Catholic school education with demonstrated success as a classroom practitioner
