About Wilmot Road Primary SchoolWilmot Road Primary School is a welcoming, diverse and ambitious school community in Shepparton, Victoria. We currently have approximately 240 students from Foundation to Year 6 and are proud of the cultural, linguistic and social diversity that shapes our school.
Approximately 54% of our students speak English as an additional language or dialect, and around 12% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Many of our families are refugees, new arrivals to Australia or experience significant socio-economic disadvantage. Our school plays an important role within the local community, providing not only high-quality education, but also connection, advocacy and access to services for children and families.
Our school motto, Happiness Through Achievement, reflects our belief that students experience genuine wellbeing when they feel safe, connected, capable and successful. Our values of Respect, Responsibility and Belonging underpin the way we work with students, families and one another.
Teaching and learningAt Wilmot Road, we have high expectations for every student and are continuing to strengthen a consistent, evidence-informed approach to teaching and learning.
