Location Profile
Andersons Creek Primary School was established in 1977 and is located in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne within the City of Manningham. It is situated near the historical sites of Victorias first gold mine in a community with a long history of traditional arts and crafts. Our motto `Learning with the Community¿ represents the focus of the school philosophy. It is reflected in the partnership between students, staff, parents and the community. The school sees itself as an integral part of the community and participates in all local celebrations.
Andersons Creek Primary School enjoys expansive grounds with a range of playing surfaces, well-equipped adventure playgrounds and numerous shaded areas. The buildings consist of three large hexagons. One houses five open classrooms with a library in the central hub. A second has six classrooms around a central shared workspace. The third boasts a state of the art 440 seat Performing Arts Centre. A tennis court, large sports stadium with a separate and dedicated Outside School Hours Care room are at the entrance to the school. The remainder of the buildings are relocatable which the school has positioned and landscaped to not only blend in with the environment but encourage cooperative teaching. The school's most recent addition is an outdoor classroom learning environment.
