The Hawkesdale P12 College is a school where high expectations are set and students have real opportunities to learn and grow in a safe, supportive and enjoyable learning environment. Our school values focus on respect, responsibility and resilience ¿ vital life qualities to foster in children and young people as they transition through their primary and secondary learning years towards meaningful adult pathways. Our school enrolment is currently 145 students, with 50 primary students and 95 secondary students; our current school personnel comprise a Principal, Assistant Principal, Learning Specialists and 35 full and part time teaching and ES staff.

The Hawkesdale P12 College is located in a picturesque corner of SW Victoria between the coastline of the Southern Ocean and the ranges of the Gariwerd National Park. Our small township sits in an area surrounded by Koroit, Port Fairy, Woolsthorpe, Macarthur and Penshurst, with dairying, wool growing, beef production and forestry being major local agricultural industries. Our school is placed in a beautiful natural setting with stands of mature trees, large oval spaces, lots of playground options during breaks, a native bird aviary and a magnificent student-built chook house. Our new multipurpose running, walking and cycling track winds for 1km around the school, with peaceful views across surrounding farmland.
