Yarraville Special Developmental School (YSDS) is a small, vibrant school with a strong emphasis on building and maintaining positive relationships with families and the wider community. We currently support 100 students aged between 5 and 18 years, all with a diagnosis of moderate to severe intellectual disability.

At YSDS, students are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and flexible learning environment that values the individuality and ability of each student, empowering them to flourish and succeed.

Selection Criteria

  1. Experience and sound knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and the ability to develop, provide and evaluate physiotherapy services and provide specialist advice on appropriate intervention strategies.

  2. Demonstrated ability to deliver a comprehensive physiotherapy service to students and families within an educational environment including physiotherapy assessment and reporting and the provision of advice on program delivery.

  3. Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary professional team and contribute significantly to the achievements of the team.
