Role description

Selection Criteria

  1. Experience and demonstrated knowledge of career development theory and practice and ability to apply this to the development and delivery of curriculum, careers and pathways counselling and programs within a secondary educational environment.

  2. Highly developed organisation, planning, leadership and negotiation skills.

  3. Demonstrated highly developed organisational, communication (verbal, written and IT skills) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  4. Demonstrated capacity working with young people and diverse communities, providing advice and support on matters relating to careers and educational pathways, together with current knowledge of agencies, networks and community services related to careers and pathways programs.

  5. Demonstrated experience in the use of career development software packages and the capacity to engage with the development of materials and resources for the online environment.

  6. Tertiary qualifications in Career Development and/or Careers Counselling and/or teaching.

  • Develop and embed a comprehensive careers curriculum across Years 7-12, with authentic links to Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and Careers Education
