Role description
St Joseph’s School, Clare, is seeking a passionate, dedicated Middle School educator, with experience in Maths and Science and who understands the unique nature of adolescents.
This is a permanent, full-time 1.0FTE teaching position, commencing at the beginning of the 2027 school year.
The role requires a committed educator who values collaboration and demonstrates flexibility in a small school setting. We seek an individual who contributes to the vibrant culture of our school, with a willingness to undertake additional training as needed.
We value community and believe an ability to form connections with, and contribute to, our school community is essential.
You will:
- Demonstrate an understanding of current Middle School (7-9) Pedagogy
- Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity, faith formation and Josephite Charism of the school and parish community
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Maths and Science curricula
- Able to design and creatively implement inclusive learning programs which meet the needs of all students, with a high emphasis on student engagement and success
- Plan, teach and assess authentic and differentiated learning experiences using the Australian Curriculum
- Be familiar with emerging information and communication technologies and be willing to integrate ICTs across the curriculum to support student learning
- Promote student personal responsibility through an ability to make children's learning fun and enjoyable
- Develop positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Be willing to participate in all aspects of school life
