Role description

Learning Support Officer (Full-Time / Fixed Term Contract)

Commencing at the start of the 2027 school year

Catholic Regional College North Keilor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Officer to join our team in a full-time contract role. This position involves providing vital support to students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Facilitate engaging skill-building activities to support students in achieving their learning goals
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and allied professionals to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of student progress
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities to build your capacity, particularly in supporting numeracy development

About You

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including physical, intellectual, or behavioural challenges
  • A particular strength or interest in supporting students with numeracy development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A genuine passion for promoting both the academic and personal growth of students
