Role description
The Learning Diversity Leader works under the direction of the Principal, collaborating closely with the Deputy Principal and Learning and Teaching Leader to oversee the educational programs and resources supporting students with diverse learning needs. This includes students with learning disabilities, EAL backgrounds, refugee status, gifted or talented profiles and those eligible for integration support.
The role oversees intervention programs, manages the timetables for Learning Support Officers (LSOs) and supports classroom teachers in making and documenting adjustments within Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs). Working in partnership with families, the Learning Diversity Leader holds responsibility for NCCD data and Program Support Group (PSG) coordination for funded students, liaising with external providers—including visiting teachers and allied health professionals—to ensure all students can fully access the curriculum and school life.
