We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As an Special Needs Education Assistant you will form part of our dedicated team of staff working with students with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and other mental health and developmental disabilities and/or disorders. In this role you would collaborate with the classroom teacher to assist in the planning and delivery of educational programs to support the learning and development of students with additional needs. Building meaningful relationships with children with additional needs and their families would be an important part of this role, so high interpersonal skills and effective communication strategies would be highly regarded.
