Mathematics Teacher | Part-Time Contract for Term 1 2027

Your opportunity

Freshwater Christian College is seeking a qualified Secondary Mathematics Teacher for a part-time, fixed-term contract three days a week, during Term 1, 2027, covering a staff member on approved leave.

About You

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in Mathematics across secondary year levels, three days per week
• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the Australian Curriculum
• Integrate a Christian worldview and biblical values into curriculum planning and classroom culture
• Support students' pastoral care and wellbeing 
• Contribute to co-curricular life through school events and activities
• Collaborate with a supportive team of educators committed to whole-person education

Essential criteria:

1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching. 
2. Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
3. Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
4. Able to affirm the College’s Statement of Faith.
5. Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
6. Able to work with all members of the College community.
7. A willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours.  
8. Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
