At St Aloysius College, Music is a vibrant part of college life, connecting students through creativity, performance and community. We invite applications from an enthusiastic and collaborative Music Teacher to join our team in a permanent full-time position commencing in 2027.
 
This exciting opportunity involves teaching within a thriving music program that includes classroom music, choirs, ensembles, instrumental tuition, regular performances and our biennial secondary musical. Students also participate in events such as Generations in Jazz and other community occasions where they perform alongside other young musicians and gain experience in a broader musical setting.
 
The successful applicant will contribute to classroom teaching, ensemble direction and co-curricular music programs, inspiring students to develop their musical skills, confidence and love of performance.
 
About You
You will demonstrate:
•Appropriate teaching qualifications and current teacher registration.
•Experience teaching secondary Music, including SACE Stage 1 and Stage 2.
•Contemporary knowledge of Music curriculum, assessment and pedagogy.
•The ability to inspire student engagement, achievement and participation.
•Experience leading or supporting bands, ensembles or performance groups (highly regarded).
•Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
•A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to college life.
•A commitment to the Catholic ethos and Mercy values of St Aloysius College.
