Role description

Position details:
St Anthony's School, Wanneroo, is a co-educational double stream Catholic school that caters for over 440 students and their families from 3-Year-old Kindergarten to Year 6. We are a community that strives to develop and encourage the Christian values modelled by Jesus and where growth of the whole person is enhanced through our educational program.

Work hours are from 6am – 1.30pm each day.

The initial contract will begin in Term 4 and run until the end of Term 1, 2027 (9/4/2027), with the possibility of an extension.

Duties: 
•    Routine garden maintenance: Trim hedges, weed garden beds, water plants and maintain outdoor play areas
•    Ensure grounds are kept to a high standard, picking up rubbish, cobweb removal, reinstating pavement, and general repairs.
•    Maintenance; repair locks, patch plaster, paint, basic plumbing repairs
•    In consultation with the Assistant Principal, prepare regular status reports on facility operations and project progress for senior management.
•    Work Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor and report hazards, conduct basic risk assessments, and ensure the safe use/storage of tools and chemicals
•    Security and safety checks: Open/lock buildings and gates; perform routine inspection of grounds and buildings to ensure safety
•    Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report faults when necessary
•    Assist with deliveries and waste management
•    Assist in scheduling and supervising contractors or tradespeople on site as required
