Role description
St Mary's Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our welcoming and collaborative school community. The days and hours can be agreed by negotiation.
Learning Support Officers at St Mary’s play an important role in supporting the learning, wellbeing and inclusion of students. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers and the Learning Diversity team, LSOs provide targeted support to enable students with diverse learning needs to participate successfully in classroom learning and the broader life of the school.
Our LSOs work alongside teachers to implement learning programs, adjustments and targeted interventions that respond to individual student needs. They support students to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours while maintaining high expectations and recognising the strengths and potential of every child.
