Role description
Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2026.
The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking a part-time (0.7-0.8 FTE) Secondary Science Teacher who brings both strong subject expertise and a genuine commitment to supporting students in their learning. In this role, you will design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that help students understand God’s world and apply scientific thinking with confidence. The role commences in January 2027 and is a 12-month parental leave replacement until the end of Term 4, 2027.
You’ll join a community of educators who care deeply about the formation of students and are learners themselves, committed to professional growth, collaborative practice, and the shared calling of preparing young people to live out their faith and learning for the sake of others.
The successful applicant must:
- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Be able to teach Science across Years 7 to 12 and VCE Biology.
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
