New to Catholic schools? Our guide to teaching in Catholic schools covers RE accreditation, the diocesan system, pay, and how applications differ from government roles.
Role description
Applications are invited from passionate and committed EAL teachers to support the learning and settlement of our new and recently arrived students. Our school is a culturally and linguistically rich and diverse Catholic school community.
This is an ongoing teaching position, starting in January 2027.
The College has grown from five to six streams over the last four years due to increased enrolment demand but continues to be a relatively small secondary school, where each student and staff member is known, valued and connected.
Our staff are well supported through a strong collegial and collaborative staff culture; good systems for Performance Development and Coaching; a well document curriculum and teaching resources; clear whole school practices; and individual and whole school professional learning.
Applications from primary trained teachers and staff interested in part time work will be considered, and we are open to exploring how job share might work in a secondary setting.
Experienced applicants may also be interested in applying for the role of EAL program lead. A position description for this role is attached.
Catholic Regional College St Albans is a child safe employer and is committed to the wellbeing of young people, their safety and protection.
All employees, contractors and volunteers are required to comply with the school's Child Safety and Wellbeing policy and procedures, and the Child Safety Code of Conduct. Applicants for this role will be required to undergo police and background checks in accordance with this policy
