Role description
Balcombe Grammar School is an independent co-educational Foundation to Year 12 school located in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula.
We are seeking an experienced classical guitar teacher to provide instrumental lessons to students in both the Primary and Secondary School commencing as soon as possible.
The role involves teaching individual and shared lessons, assisting with ensembles and attending soirees and other school events throughout the year. The current time-fraction is one (1) day per week with the anticipation of growth moving forward (teaching day is flexible).
The successful candidate should:
- Demonstrate success in developing and retaining instrumental students
- Be willing to work in conjunction with our Instrumental Music Programs Leader to promote continual growth of our Instrumental Music Program
- Hold suitable tertiary qualifications in music or education, or have sufficient, relevant experience, and either be VIT registered or hold a current Working With Children Check
