Teacher - English as an Additional Language/Dialect

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - English as an Additional Language/Dialect for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period

Lynwood Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School catering for students in Years 7 to 12. With an Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) of 1002, we have around 52% Language background other than English (LBOTE) and over 60 different nationalities represented at the school. The school's Intensive English Centre (IEC) provides a supportive and culturally responsive learning environment for newly arrived students in Years 7 to 10 from diverse cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds. IEC students are resilient and motivated learners who are developing Standard Australian English while engaging with an adapted Western Australian Curriculum. Some students may have experienced trauma, interrupted or limited prior schooling, displacement, family separation or significant cultural and educational transitions. Staff work collaboratively with students, families, interpreters, school teams and external agencies to support each student's learning, wellbeing and successful transition into mainstream schooling and the wider community.
