Finance Officer - School Sport

Schooling Operations and Initiatives are seeking to establish a pool of Finance Officers, School Sport for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Schooling Operations and Initiatives branch is responsible for the management and implementation of strategic education programs that support schools and student outcomes. Typically, these programs involve partnership and liaison with the non-government school sectors, corporate and not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia. Delivery of support and services to public schools assisting them to implement these programs is a key responsibility of the Branch.

The Role

We’re seeking experienced finance/business support specialist to join our dynamic new School Sports team!

This diverse role supports the financial and administrative delivery aspects of competitive school sports, including; financial planning/budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, coordination/monitoring funding and resource agreements, procurement/contracting, preparing funding submissions and evaluating tenders. In addition, you will review and analyse costs, program/project effectiveness, delivery opportunities and emerging issues and trends impacting on current and future program/project delivery
