The School:

Set on Bathurst Island in the heart of the Tiwi Islands, accessible by sea or air, Murrupurtiyanuwu Primary School and Xavier Secondary College together form the vibrant Catholic Education Precinct at Wurrumiyanga, just 80km north of Darwin. It's a close-knit community educating over 300 students from Transition through to Year 12. The rich Indigenous culture of the Tiwi people is celebrated and integrated into their strong Catholic beliefs.

The Position:

The Assistant Principal Religious Education (APRE) / Religious Education Coordinator (REC) shares responsibility with the Principal for spiritual and theological leadership, faith formation, and embedding Catholic and local Aboriginal perspectives across the curriculum. This position works across both the Primary School and Secondary College, supporting continuity of Catholic identity and faith formation for students from Transition through to Year 12. This executive role leads Religious Education, liturgy, faith formation, and Catholic identity across the Precinct, and is open to practising Catholics committed to the Catholic faith.

• REC Salary: CT level up to CT9 - $136,9597, plus $19,603.31 REC allowance, or,
• APRE Salary: $158,990 - $160,405 (dependent on Master's completion stage)
