The Department of Education is seeking applications from teachers currently living in New Zealand, who want to relocate to Western Australia.

Teaching in Western Australian public schools comes with great benefits.   

While we understand that relocating is a big step, and we’re committed to supporting you and your family through this transition. The Department of Education offers a relocation package designed to assist with your move to Western Australia.

As of August 2025, the International Teacher Relocation Support is as follows:

• Fully funded visa sponsorship
• Flights for you + immediate family
• Freight allowance up to $7,500
• Settling-in reimbursement up to $10,000
• Up to 4 weeks’ temporary accommodation (for teachers not eligible for subsidised regional housing)
• Subsidised housing available in some regional areas
• 2-week induction in Perth (travel + accom provided)
• Pathway to permanent residency
