The Department of Education is inviting applications from qualified teachers to relocate to Western Australia and are seeking to teach in schools in regional locations around the state. We are currently accepting applications from teachers who are citizens of:

• United Kingdom
• Republic of Ireland
• South Africa
• Canada

Teaching in Western Australian public regional schools comes with great benefits. 

While we understand that relocating is a big step, and we’re committed to supporting you and your family through this transition. The Department of Education offers a relocation package designed to assist with your move to our regional areas in Western Australia.

As of March 2026, the International Teacher Relocation Support is as follows:

• Employer sponsored visa with pathway to permanent residency (subject to eligibility)
• Flights for you and your immediate family
• 2-week induction in Perth (travel + accommodation provided for this period)
• Subsidised housing options (for eligible regional schools and subject to availability)

A number of our schools are eligible to receive an Attraction and Retention Incentive in 2025, of up to $8,500pa. You can find more about this here.
