The Opportunity

The successful applicant for this role will be an energetic, highly skilled, innovative and passionate teacher of Music. They will have experience teaching students aged 5–12 and a strong understanding of music curriculum design and implementation. An understanding of, or experience with, Kodály-based and/or Orff-Schulwerk approaches to music teaching would be highly regarded.

Experience teaching strings would be a strong advantage. The role will contribute to the College’s Year 3 strings program, working collaboratively with colleagues to support students’ musical development. Understanding and experience in teaching IB PYP Music is highly desirable.

As part of the Junior School Music team, you will support and contribute to the broader Music Department programs and the co-curricular activities of the College. Junior School Music teachers work collaboratively with other members of the Music team to coordinate performances and concerts.

This is an ongoing full-time position. There is scope to negotiate to 0.81 teaching load for the successful applicant.
