Leader of Learning- English

Position Purpose

The Leader of Learning KLA is responsible for leading a dynamic team whilst enhancing a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth.

The role provides authoritative and instructional leadership to teachers, support staff and students. The position requirements align with and reflect the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Middle Leader Standards. It assumes professional capabilities consistent with ‘Highly Accomplished’ and/or ‘Lead’ Australian Professional Standards for Teachers descriptors developed by the Australian Institute of Teachers and School Leadership, although accreditation at this level is not a requirement. 

The leadership and direction provided by the Leader of Learning KLA will be consistent with;

Commencement

The commencement date for this position will be 27 January 2027.

Essential criteria

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices and 7-12 KLA curriculum, with a demonstrated ability to implement these practices to a high standard in contemporary classrooms
