Role description
As a Literacy Intervention Officer, you work collaboratively and strategically with teachers and leaders ensuring a consistent B-12 inclusive approach which focuses on presence, participation, and progress for all students. Working with the intervention team you contribute to a strong B-12 vision and culture of continuous improvement outlined in the 5-year plan for inclusion.
You are student-focused, agile, adaptable and support personalised learning and capabilities through your skilled provision of learning support and interventions in a multi-tiered system of support framework.
As a future focused paraprofessional, you are confident to work as part of a team or autonomously delivering quality services relating to learning support and inclusion aligning with school values and vision B-12. You pride yourself on your knowledge and prior learning of best practice for inclusive, evidence-based intervention in an educational organisation focused on excellence. Your communication skills facilitate close collaboration with all teachers and staff to enable presence, participation, and progress for every child.
As a member of the Intervention team, you promote and advocate for inclusion. You participate in coaching for improvement, ongoing professional learning, reviews, and observations. You also encourage a high-performance culture, emphasising empowerment and leadership, quality communication, and productivity to achieve site priorities.
