As an inclusive education support officer, you work collaboratively and strategically with teachers and leaders ensuring a consistent B-12 inclusive approach which focuses on presence, participation, and progress for all students. You will be working within various Special Options classes from R-12, support students with a Disability to access the curriculum and follow required healthcare and personalised medical plans.
As a future focused paraprofessional, you are confident to work as part of a team or autonomously delivering quality services relating to learning support and inclusion aligning with school values and vision B-12. You pride yourself on your knowledge and prior learning of best practice for students with a disability to thrive in a safe and inclusive environment
As a member of the Inclusive Education team, you promote and advocate for inclusion. You participate in coaching for improvement, ongoing professional learning, reviews, and observations. You also encourage a high-performance culture, emphasising empowerment and leadership, quality communication, and productivity to achieve site priorities.
Collaboration, initiative, discretion, and decision-making aligning with site values and priorities and sustained improvement planning is expected.
The inclusive education officer is accountable to the Head of Inclusion for assisting in the delivery of effective and appropriate high-quality student support, which contributes to the achievement of educational outcomes of all students with our Special Options Setting.
