CLASSROOM/CREATIVE ARTS TEACHER

Key Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate, develop, and maintain effective teaching practices and positive relationships with students and colleagues. 
• Contribute actively to a collaborative professional culture focused on reflection, improvement and shared practice.
• Possess the skills and knowledge to teach the NSW Creative Arts syllabus, particularly Visual Arts, across K-6.
• Create opportunities for students to generate, refine and share original artistic ideas, encouraging creative thinking, risk-taking and personal expression.
• Demonstrate the skill, creativity and enthusiasm to integrate Visual Arts learning across Key Learning Areas where meaningful and authentic connections exist.
• Willingness to support the Christian ethos of Lutheran School.
• Create a nurturing, ordered, and learner-centred environment that supports student engagement and achievement.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and sensitively with staff, parents and students  
• A current NSW Education Teacher registration (NESA)  
• Teaching experience preferable 
• A current First Aid Certificate
• A current NSW Working with Children Check
• A willingness to attain the accreditation required by Lutheran Education if applicable.
