About the Role

Abbotsleigh is seeking an accomplished and passionate Social Sciences Teacher to join our thriving Social Sciences Department from Term 1, 2027. Working with highly engaged students and exceptional colleagues, you will bring your expertise in Economics, Business Studes and Commerce to a collaborative and well-resourced department that values academic excellence, innovation and professional growth. Teaching Stage 6 Economics and Business Studies, fostering strong commercial awareness and economic literacy
Designing inclusive, intellectually stimulating lessons that develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and real-world business and economic understanding, with a focus on how girls learn best
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
Supporting students in developing research, data analysis, problem-solving, and evidence-based decision-making skills
Engaging in pastoral care and supporting student wellbeing
Participating in whole-school initiatives and co-curricular programs.
