Education Support Officer - Curriculum

Xavier College is seeking dedicated Education Support Officers (ESO) – Curriculum (Grade 2). As a Curriculum ESO joining the founding team of our brand new our Riverlea Park (R-6) campus, you will provide classroom support to teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive learning environment while contributing to the Catholic identity, Salesian ethos and mission of the College.

Commencing January 2027, this permanent, part-time role is worked Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 3.00pm, across a 40-week school year.

As ESO – Curriculum, you will:

• Assist students individually and in small groups, supporting their overall learning experience under teacher direction.
• Assist teachers with the implementation of structured learning programs using pre-prepared resources.
• Support students with identified additional needs in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on learning or behavioural needs.
• Assist teachers with supervision during excursions, sports, school events, and yard duty, as required.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and the College community.
• Assist students with additional needs, including personal care, where required.
• Support general classroom operations, including preparation of materials and administrative tasks.
