Role description
St Bernadette’s is looking to appoint a passionate and dynamic individual to the role of Assistant Principal, Religious Identity & Mission (APRIM). The appointed APRIM will demonstrate a high level of faith leadership, a strong commitment to excellence and will foster strong community relationships. The APRIM will work closely with the Principal, leadership team and staff to promote informed practices that recognise and engage the diverse learning styles and faith experiences of each individual. The role will support the spiritual and educational growth of all students while fostering positive and respectful relationships across the school community.
This appointment is to a permanent teaching position with a 4 year fixed term contract as Assistant Principal, Religious Identity & Mission (APRIM) offered as 0.6 FTE.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community.
- Actively contribute to the faith leadership and Catholic identity of the school in alignment with its Dominican tradition.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with members of the school, parish and wider community through highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Lead, plan, implement and evaluate a Religious Education curriculum informed by the Crossways curriculum framework.
- Promote and lead faith formation initiatives that engage and inspire staff in their ongoing spiritual and professional growth.
