Position Details
St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Social Worker to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our Catholic school community at St Helena's Catholic Primary School.

Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will be required to support students with their individual social and emotional needs and provide strategies to assist teachers in building positive relationships and resilience in students. The School Social Worker will be required to liaise with the Principal, Leadership Team and Class Teachers to establish strategies and action plans which will promote student well-being and assist in maintaining the welfare of students. The position requires the applicant to work within the values and ethics of Catholic Education Western Australia and having some experience working in a school setting is preferable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
•    Developing positive, trusting and professional relationships with students, staff and their families.
•    Advocating for the well-being of students, priortising a culture of child safety with the school and consistently applying the principles and practices of the CEWA Childsafe Framework.
•    Delivering a best practice approach to intervention, including individual and collective counselling methodologies.
