Teacher - Primary

This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

Scaddan Primary School (PS), located 50km from Esperance in WA’s Goldfields Region, serves Kindergarten to Year 6 students from the farming communities of Scaddan, Grass Patch, Cascade and Salmon Gums. We are a close-knit, caring school that fosters strong relationships and a sense of belonging.

We are a small, welcoming school where strong relationships, high expectations and a genuine sense of belonging are central to everything we do. Our size allows staff to know students and families well, work closely as a team and make a meaningful contribution across the school.

In 2027, our growing school will operate four multi-age classrooms: Early Childhood (Kindergarten and Pre-Primary), Junior (Years 1 and 2), Middle (Years 3 and 4) and Senior (Years 5 and 6). Smaller class sizes provide opportunities for responsive teaching, strong relationships and targeted support for individual students.

Our school is on a focused improvement journey, with a clear commitment to high-quality, evidence-informed teaching in every classroom. Staff work within a connected whole-school approach, with agreed instructional practices, consistent classroom routines, explicit teaching and regular assessment used to monitor student progress and inform next steps.
