Role description
Stansbury Primary School is a small, community-focused school where strong relationships, curiosity and a genuine sense of belonging underpin teaching and learning. Our size provides us with the opportunity to know our students well ? their strengths, interests, needs and the things that help them engage deeply in their learning.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly adaptable primary teacher who shares our commitment to ensuring every child is known, valued, challenged and supported to thrive. This is a mid/upper-primary position (Years 3-6) in a small site (20-22 enrolments) with class sizes is likely to be 10-12 students.
The successful applicant will be a relationship-focused educator who builds genuine connections with students and works positively and collaboratively with colleagues, families and our wider community. They will establish high expectations while creating a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment in which students feel confident to question, contribute, take appropriate risks and increasingly take ownership of their learning.
We are particularly interested in a teacher who can respond effectively to the diversity that exists within a primary classroom. This includes using assessment, observation and knowledge of individual learners to differentiate learning, make appropriate adjustments and provide the right balance of support and challenge.
