Selection Criteria

KSC 1  Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the implementation of school priorities and the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.

KSC 2  Demonstrated ability to lead the planning and implementation of high-impact teaching strategies that respond to how students learn and to evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.

KSC 3  Demonstrated exemplary ability to monitor and assess student learning. Demonstrated ability to support others to use data to inform teaching practice and to provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.

KSC 4  Demonstrated exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.

KSC 5  Demonstrated ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values. Demonstrated ability to support others to reflect on their practice and facilitate school-based professional learning.

KSC 6  Demonstrated capacity to lead whole-school improvement in STEM and numeracy, including building teacher capability, strengthening curriculum and pedagogy, using evidence to monitor impact and developing partnerships that expand authentic learning and pathways for students.
