Selection Criteria

SC1: Demonstrated strong cultural understanding of the barriers and challenges of Aboriginal families within the Mildura and Mallee region.

SC2: Demonstrated knowledge of completing administrative tasks on time and to a high standard

SC3: Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders and services.

SC4: Demonstrated ability to coordinate community group activities and events.

Role

Assistant Men's Group Coordinator

The Assistant Mens Coordinator group will be responsible for assisting the coordination of projects including Deadly Dads as well as other connected beginning groups and events.

This position will be expected to work with the Community Engagement/Men's Group Coordinator in to coordinate all administration aspects of a Deadly Dads or other events to make sure they run smoothly. The role is expected to provide support for men's groups as directed by the coordinator. The position is also expected to be onsite the day the program or event runs to set-up, pack down and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. This may be before or after work hours.

• Assist and implement cultural activities and knowledge 

• Develop and maintain rapport with services in community 

• Develop and maintain connections with community 

• Work within a team and provide support when required

• Help with the setting up and packing up for events/activities 

• Attend men groups and assist the men  

• Be able to work alone when required 

• Work with other team to ensure cultural knowledge and activities are embedded into weekly events
